CNC machined brass load buttons are press-fitted into the holes of both mating flanges where the bolts would normally be located. The sloped faces are pointing outwards radially.and engade the sloped surfaces of the clamping jaws.

The method uses inclined planes to generate a vertical clamping force when horozontally forced by the two semi-circular clamping jaws enabled by the screw handwheels.
