PFAS / PFOS Electro-Kinetic Exfoliation & Mineralization of Fluorine.

We are working with University of Western Ontario, UWO / ICFAR London and Utopia Hemp in Ontario Canada to de-fluorinate waterborne PFAS / PFOS Fluoro-Carbon species found in our drinking water and other aqueous media such as AFFF’s (Aqueous Fire Fighting Foams) and banned Fluoro-Carbon refrigerants such as Freon. Our technology can be adapted and applied to the remediation of landfill leachate from where significant amounts of PFAS / PFOS leaches back into our ground water over time.

Electro-kinetic carbon technology at first provides passive capture of aqueous PFAS / PFOS molecular species at the wetted carbon surfaces with water flow, then a periodic fluorine exfoliation cycle is enabled with 130 kcal / mol of surface energy making Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) with the free hydrogen from the water electrolysis thus defluorinating the accumulated PFAS / PFOS fluoro-carbons on the carbon disc surfaces. The hydrogen fluoride HF is then mineralized with Calcium Hydroxide making Fluorite as by-product with some OH hydroxyl radicals.

Free Hydrogen binds to the Exfoliated Fluorine fromTeflon tape (Yellow) PFAS test sample in contact with the carbon electrode surfaces.

Outgassing observed at 60 kHz. comprising H + OH hydroxyls by electrolysis. Hydrogen fluoride gas is a true marker of PFAS molecular fluorine exfoliation in electrolyzed water generated at the carbon electrode / Tefllon tape surfaces.

Certain PZT vendors and suppliers are excluded from our development curve and supply chain indefinitely. We have replaced them with Chinese vendors instead if and when called for. Thank you for red flag.and heads up.

Free hydrogen from the water bonds instantly with the exfoliated fluorine from PFAS / PFOS passively captured on the carbon electrode surfaces.

Piezo-electric ( PZT ) discs generate the effect shown in this video below, but an electro-magnetic method of generating the 130 kcal / mol energies needed without PZT technology is in development. Lead and Barium and other rare earth constituents in PZT’s are toxic and will contaminate the water. Certain vendors and suppliers are excluded from the development curve and supply chain, You know who you are..

The initial validation lab equipment set-up uses Teflon PTFE tape as the sample source of PFAS wrapped around graphite cathode electrodes having an electro-kinetic surface energy of 130 kcal / mol or greater which is the Carbon Fluorine binding energy in PFAS. A Hydrogen Fluoride detector and software has confirmed the presence of HF gas having it’s origin from the Teflon tape (PFAS). Levels up to 20 ppm hydrogen fluoride have been observed in this apparatus and recorded commensurate with applied energy.

We are pleased to announce our USPTO IP agenda and CSA / UL certification for commercialization is proceeding as planned using electro-magnetic technology excluding piezo-electric (PZT’s) for our PFAS / PFOS Electro-Kinetic Exfoliation and Mineralization process. ( All rights Reserved )
